This position manages and expands strategic relationships with our clients and partners. We are seeking a highly proactive and organized individual who can take ownership of the existing client relationships and identify opportunities to create and grow new business.

JOB: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales or business development. Requirements include strong sales and prospecting skills, and direct experience with the internet or experience in businesses with an internet component.
Responsibilities:
Develop and cultivate existing client relationships.
Build and manage a successful sales and customer service team.
Identify key clients and sell Outdoor Business Network as a business partner and internet solution provider.
Expand relationships by reviewing account activity and identifying opportunities for clients.
Discuss client needs and create in depth proposals.
Maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date information on clients.
Work cross functionally to manage new rollouts and/or product enhancements.
Act as a liaison between clients and web developers.
Follow the development of client websites and work with the development team to ensure client needs are met through the full cycle from proposal to launch.
Create sales reports.
Requirements:
3-5 years of progressive sales experience.
Outstanding computer skills including solid knowledge of MS Office.
Ability to learn new computer programs quickly.
Passion for business and the Internet.
Excellent project management skills and attention to details.
Outstanding written & verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational & analytical skills.
Ability to complete multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Adapt to a changing environment and identify/solve problems efficiently.
Ability to travel on short notice and maintain a flexible schedule.
Comfortable working trade shows.
Comfortable working with and presenting to high level decision makers.
Ethical and honest sales techniques.
Friendly demeanor with a positive attitude.
Preferred:
Experience with web design/software development sales.
Interest or participation in outdoor sports of any type or experience in the sporting goods industry a plus.
Existing business contacts and relationships within the outdoor industry.
Technical web design, database, or programming knowledge.
BS/BA degree preferred
